We took a stroll yesterday. Well, not really a stroll in these very high temperatures with an unforgiving sun beating down on my poor bald head (Gotta get me a hat, keep forgetting!)
It has been unseasonably hot all over Europe those last days and the weather strongly reminded me of the time we spent way down in Mauritius some years ago. No kidding, it’s tropical Luxembourg for you.
So of course my camera came along and despite the heat I made some photographs that I like… such as this very cool bridge with it’s central pillar that’s not quite straight but does it’s job.
I really like this structure, and well, sometimes color could come in handy as it’s bright blue…. but I’m a black and white guy, so you’ll have to come over here to see it.
Then again, I got the mandatory old barn door, always a winner!
And of course in summer, the classic cars are out again. Well protected during winter they yearn to be set free and prowl the roads once again. I spotted this nice couple in our neighbourhood, Mister Dino and Lady Taunus:
But as always it’s the details that make the picture! What’s more vintage than a nice car with a hat and a nodding dog in the rear window? Can’t beat that!
By then I was longing for some shade, just as these fellows.
Others had gone for a swim, good idea too!
Even the playground was desperately empty, the kids tucked securely at home in front of their screens.
A last one of some shed… before returning home for a nice cool beer…. well earned!
Thanks for visiting!
Great set Frank, nothing quite like black and white images!
