Just a Summer Day’s Walk

We took a stroll yesterday. Well, not really a stroll in these very high temperatures with an unforgiving sun beating down on my poor bald head (Gotta get me a hat, keep forgetting!)170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (1)

It has been unseasonably hot all over Europe those last days and the weather strongly reminded me of the time we spent way down in Mauritius some years ago. No kidding, it’s tropical Luxembourg for you.

So of course my camera came along and despite the heat I made some photographs that I like… such as this very cool bridge with it’s central pillar that’s not quite straight but does it’s job.170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (5)

I really like this structure, and well, sometimes color could come in handy as it’s bright  blue…. but I’m a black and white guy, so you’ll have to come over here to see it.170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (3)

Then again, I got the mandatory old barn door, always a winner!170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (14)

And of course in summer, the classic cars are out again. Well protected during winter they yearn to be set free and prowl the roads once again. I spotted  this nice couple in our neighbourhood, Mister Dino and Lady Taunus:170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (12)

But as always it’s the details that make the picture! What’s more vintage than a nice car with a hat and a nodding dog in the rear window? Can’t beat that!170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (13)

By then I was longing for some shade, just as these fellows.170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (22)

Others had gone for a swim, good idea too!170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (20)

Even the playground was desperately empty, the kids tucked securely at home in front of their screens.170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (21)

A last one of some shed… before returning home for a nice cool beer…. well earned!170615 - Canon AE-1 - Ilford HP5 (27)

Thanks for visiting!
