OK, I know I said I’d not develop any color film again and here I go and buy another color development kit.
I’s just that I love black and white but some days you got to have some color in your life!
Those last weeks, when I was going to work by bus I pass a very distinct view, from the ‘route d’Arlon’ over the rooftops of the quarter of Merl to it’s very characteristic church. At 6.30 in the morning, the sun has just cleared the horizon and illuminates the majestic silhouette of that building.
So what did I do? I got off the bus with my Canon AE-1, a 50mm and a 135mm lens and of course a Fujicolor Superia 200 cheap film in the camera.
My preferred photograph was made with the great 135mm f:3,5 Canon FD lens:
Impressive, no? If you want a definition of the ‘golden hour’ I think this is it!
Of course… afterwards I have to trudge the rest of the way to work on foot… But no, that’s not a chore, it’s an opportunity as there’s lots of views opening up for those who rise early!
All told, I quite like that film, even if it renders some foliage that’s in shadows in a distinct bluish tone….
But anyways, the world is not only made of greens, no? There’s all sorts of things.
And by the way, the day before I strolled through the city on my lunch break and got some more nice vistas for you.
And two poor abandoned bikes…
I thank you again for stopping by and…. see you soon!
