I don’t shoot a lot of frames, film is expensive, film makes you think! You can’t chimp, delete, start again.
So the number of frames that came from my second ‘Generation Art’ challenge is quite minimalistic. In all I took…. let me see (switches to the photo library, counts…) 20 photos! Yes thats like a two and a zero TWENTY only!
I guess my digital comrades shot dozens of frames. I just got those 20 to work with. Call that taking risks! All it takes is an error during development and OUT!
Let me present some more of my shots here… well, I guess you saw most of them, as nearly all the others were just the same people with different poses.
Anyways, I had a lot of fun, I was really in the zone and doing things I had never done before. I talked to lots of people, asked if I could photograph them – most didn’t want to and I respected that. Though it was sometimes hard to ‘get rid’ of them. The people of Esch are very open hearted, generous and love to talk…. too much sometimes.
Time flew, film development waited, scanning, tweaking the results…. I had to make a decision, to find the moment to stop this adventure and head back to the studio. Time was running short… and always people wanted to talk.
We talked, we laughed and we parted feeling good. What a great moment!
Esch-sur-Alzette and it’s people are great. What a wonderful day!
Thanks for visiting!
Hi Frank,
I’m following the Generation Art series via the RTL web site, quite interesting! Also gives me a better idea of who you are, and shows that even though I know german and french, lëtzebuergesch is still something different 🙂
Good luck with the challenges!
