Generation Art – The Eighth Challenge

Yes, it’s the eighth challenge, the last one before the final where the 3 remaining candidates will fight it out.161220 - Ricoh GR1 - Ilford HP5+ (4)

And it’s the one challenge I really hated to miss: Analog Photography!

My comrades were quite bewildered when they were given those strange analog cameras. They were completely out of their ballpark and had to do their best with it.

Well I said I hated to miss the Challenge but in fact I did not miss it entirely. All the old candidates were called upon to assist during the verdict (and for a little fiesta afterwards…).

But the candidates did not only get analog cameras and a roll of Tri-X, they were also given an assignment: To each take a portrait of a luxembourgish artist. Painters, writers, photographers…

I think they did a good jobs all four and the verdict will be difficult. And what’s more, the verdict will only be broadcast next saturday…. So one more week to wait until the 3 finalists will be known.

Anyway, analog photography and developing their own film was the main challenge. As I heard, some of them have taken up analog photography, at least part time and that makes me VERY happy!

OK, until next week I’ll share some more ‘behind the scenes’ shots from that challenge!161220 - Ricoh GR1 - Ilford HP5+ (15)

Just some quick snaps because the outcome will remain a secret for one more week!
