Impressions from last Winter

The last winter was not exceptionally cold, not exceptionally long, it was just winter.

A bleak and colourless season, made for black and white photography. Not far from the place we’re living for the moment I caught these sights with my trusty Olympus XA2.

Some days ago, spring seemed to have arrive at last here in Luxembourg, but those last few days have seen an uprising (hopefully the last one) of old man Winter, reminding me of these pictures I took in the middle of January. 

Do I like the winter? I don’t know, it makes for nice opportunities for gloomy black and white pictures, but honestly, it’s a bit depressing….

And I think we have enough depressing news these days, so let’s hope that spring will win the battle again this year and drive old man Winter into hiding for as long as possible!
